2012 Halloween Mystery Skateboard Race

The annual Halloween Mystery Outlaw has been going on for 5 years now, and race organizer Micah Green hit the nail on the head with a fun, well organized, and very spooky race for the 5th year in a row. This year, riders met at the bottom of Memory Grove park, where heats were all set up, details were given out, and costumes were shown off. Riders were then sent to the top of the hill to start some very spooky racing.

Sandy Downhill & Slide Jam

Thank you to Mr.Bartnicki for throwing the 1st SANDY Downhill & Slide Jam. Also much thanks goes out to the Bartnicki family for protecting us from cars, and giving many a ride to the top of the road.
The Event started out on the top of Hidden Wood Drive. The road was a fast straight with speeds of 40mph and up. Congratulation to Doug Trollman's 1st Place win, 2nd Micheal, and R.O. Buffalo Team rider Justin Tingey with a solid 3rd.

The Slide Jam was one of the funnest this year, and probably one of the best. As far as Results: R.O. Buffalo team Rider Andrew Baird won with 55ft, Ryan Vitale came in 2nd with 53ft, and 3rd went to Taylor Osborn with 50ft in the longest stand-up comp. There was enough blood and thane to please Skatan (Hail his Mighty name) to provide us with wonderful weather,
From Lurking in the locals pool (Micah), Drifting a toy Kawasaki, Learning a new dance move from a member of the Rat pack, whose name will not be reviled (Matt the Rat Commander Gibson), and flirting with rainy weather. It was a rad event filled with stoke. Can't wait for next year.

Laguna Seca In Monterey, California

Back in April, Micah Green and Scott Hamilton were lucky enough to receive the opportunity to race in the Laguna Seca Invitational during the Sea Otter Classic.  This race came from the history books of our very own sport and hasn’t been done since 1982.  Hosted on the Laguna Seca Raceway, we ran down the track backwards and drag raced four men deep. Only 32 racers were invited which meant that if you advanced only a single round you were already in quarter-finals.  So it got pretty heated, pretty fast when they started calling ‘Ready-Set-Go!’.  Before we started skating though, and during the practice runs everyone was playing it cool and simply hanging out with their friends.

Aaron Breetwor, AJ Haiby, Daniel Luna, Jimmy Riha, Max Capps and Micah Green Checkin' out the track before the race, unintentionally poaching a run.

Brock Warren, Connor Wagner and Zac Baca also made the trip out west. We spent our nights camping on hardwood floors in an abandoned and powerless house on the 18th hole of the beautiful Pebble Beach Golf Course. We were very generously offered this location by Sean Woolery, who spectated the race as well.

Jacob Geerlings, Zac Baca, Micah Green, Connor Wagner

The original four SL,UT Skaters. On the far left is Jake "Smash" Geerlings. He pushed the rest of us the harder and faster on skateboard from the very beginning than anyone has before.  While we were all learning from scratch, Jake was immediately ripping down the hills of Salt Lake harder and faster than anyone else had done before.  During our travels, Connor, Zac and I were lucky enough to see our old friend again, who is currently stationed in Berkley, California serving in the National Coast Guard.

Check out this RAW RUN of Micah, Brock and Zac skating the hills of NorCal with Byron Essert.

Thank you Miles and Byron Essert for giving us a place to stay, and showing us how it's done on and off a skateboard in Berkely California.

Thrangin' and Bangin' in Las Vegas

SLUT CITY MEETS SIN CITY AT THE LAS VEGAS THROW DOWN!

The 3 Ring Las Vegas Throw Down was everything you'd expect from the magical minds of 3 Ring Longboards. The 3 Ring Ninjas are about as mystical as seeing a Unicorn. No joke. Watch this video and you will see. They originate from Salt Lake City, Utah. The home town of the nitty gritty style of SLUT City Lurking. They are some of the ancient Gods of SLUT. Check us out on the road, romping on strip, having some hella slide jams with the Mike 'Vegas-The Snyde' Snyder, and other Las Vegas locals!
